On February 7-8th, 2026, Ski Club held their first Ski trip of the 2025-2026 school year. The students of Sierra Vista High School went on a two-day trip with their peers, skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of Brianhead, Utah. The trip proved a big success; the students enjoyed every moment and had an amusing time. While there were many new members who participated in the trip, many members returned. One of these returners, Jacy Johnson (12), shares, “This was my second year going on one of the ski club trips. I chose to go back this year because I had such a great time with my friends last year and it is such a great opportunity for those who would not be able to go on their own. It is such a bonding experience and both times I have made tons of new friends.”
On this trip, the students did more than ski and snowboard. On February 8, Superbowl Sunday, the students came together to have a Superbowl watch party, Lola Shanahan (11) shares her experience, “there was a taco bar outside of the watch room, we all got food and then we went into the watch room to sit down and we watched the superbowl on a big projector. It was very fun and made the trip even more enjoyable.” Many students find that the ski trip provides them with friends, memories, and lots of fun. One of these students, Isadora Avram (12) elaborates,“ I loved this trip so much last year that I had to go again. It’s just a really fun experience especially when you get to go with friends. We made tons of new memories and getting to ski or snowboard makes it even better, i dont know anyone who had anything less of a great time.” Said Isadora Avram.
