One Interesting Fact About Me: I love to teach coding. I love taking the mystery out of computers to show that anyone can code.  I also love flowers/plants and traveling.

College (s) where you earned your BA and MA: I received my Bachelors in Arts in Vocal Pedagogy and Choral Conducting from Oregon State University. I received a Masters in Education in Music Education from UNLV. I started a Doctorate in Musical Arts in Vocal Pedagogy at UNLV. 

Academic Focus in College: Choral Conducting and Voice (Opera) 

Favorite Subject in High School: Choir, Band and History 

Favorite Book: I’m a huge fan of Kurt Vonnegut. I think my favorite is The Sirens of Titan or Harrison Bergeron. The Sirens of Titan should be made into a movie someday. 

Favorite Sports Team: The Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees, San Francisco 49ers, Golden Knights and LA Kings, LA Lakers

One Interesting Fact About Me: I sang on an album by The Killers, and I was an extra for a Lifetime Made for TV Movie.

Ms. Rolen

College (s) where you earned your BA and MA: I went to Florida State University to earn my BA in Criminology; went to UNLV to earn a BS in Biotechnology; earned my MS in Secondary Education from Nova Southeastern University and my M.Ed. in Counseling from Touro University Nevada. 

Favorite Subject in High School: I love my AP Psychology class. It really help prepare me for college level coursework and earned me college credit. I also really enjoyed my painting and ceramics classes. 

Favorite Book: I do read quite a bit, but I could never pick a favorite. I tend to gravitate towards fiction because I like getting lost in a good story. 

Favorite Sports Team: Florida State Seminoles, Minnesota Vikings, and the Vegas Golden Knights 

Activities and Sports I’ve Participated In: I did a lot of activities in high school. I played soccer and softball. I was also captain of the cheer and gymnastics teams. I was also on the yearbook staff, participated in Student Council and National Junior Honors Society, and participated in SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) – a club that was organized after we lost a classmate to a drunk driving accident. 

One Interesting Fact About Me: I am obsessed with my three dogs and doing my own nails. If you ever want me to talk your ear off, come ask me about either of those topics.
