Spring Break offers both students and teachers a much needed week of relaxation away from their busy school schedules. The nine consecutive off days allow students to travel, relax, or spend time with family and friends. Students can make the most of their Spring Break, whether by spending it locally or traveling. For some students, this break is a time for them to do activities they enjoy without the stress of school, and others even take this time to prepare for the next quarter. Regardless of how students spend it, Spring Break offers Sierra Vista students a perfect opportunity to relax and take a break from the demands of school.
Christopher Guzman Flores (11), at Sierra Vista High School, explains how Spring Break is all about spending his free time with his friends. “During the spring break, I plan to go to Rolling Loud Festival with friends. I also plan to celebrate my friend’s birthday on March 18th. We are going to go bowling,” he shared. Savannah Watson (10), also believes Spring Break allows her to hang out with her friends. “During the break, I plan to hang out with friends and go out. We love going to the mall and shopping. We also love to tan, especially when the UV is high,” she shares. Ronan Jon Evangelista Tumang (11), is using his break to visit family and start a new job. “I plan to go to California to visit my mom, as well as to just spend time with my family and my girlfriend. I also plan to get a new job during the break so I can save up for my car,” he shares.
Plenty of activities for teens to partake in, if they plan on staying local instead of traveling, await them in Spring Break. For example, Adventuredome at Circus Circus is a great place to start Spring Break as they are offering a 50% discount for locals on Saturday, March 15. Also popular hang-out areas with friends include the Fashion Show Mall, Downtown Summerlin, and the Las Vegas Premium Outlets. Downtown Summerlin and Town Square even have arcades like Velocity Esports or Dave & Buster’s. Students can also go to movie theaters as there is a list of popular movies that will be released during Spring Break. The most popular movie that will be released during the break is Snow White on March 25, 2025. This movie will be a live-action remake of the original movie starring Rachel Zegler, as Snow White, and Gal Gadot, as the Evil Queen. No matter how students choose to spend their time, Spring Break is a perfect way for Sierra Vista students to have time for themselves and away from the stresses of school.
