Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

On December 21, 2022, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish made its way (Wagner Moura) to theaters and touched the hearts of fans who love Puss in Boots. The movie introduced new characters who add a special spark to the movie and thrill. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a delightful movie sure to entertain audiences of all ages.

The film starts with Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) causing trouble and waking the Sleeping Giant of Del Mar. After defeating the giant and saving the town, Puss learns he only has one life left. Puss now struggling with his self-image and decided to go to MamaLuna’s (Da’Vine Joy Randolph), after almost losing his life to Death (Wagner Moura). Goldilocks (Florence Pugh) and The Three Bears track down Puss in Boots in hopes that he will assist in their pursuit to steal a map from Big Jack Horner (Wallace Beery) that leads to the Wishing Star. Successfully obtaining the map for himself, he must now fight off Goldilocks (Florence Pugh) and The Three Bears and Big Jack Horner (Wallace Beery) along with his goons.

Director Joel Crawford did an amazing job making the characters relatable to the audience. Earl M leaves a review on Rotten Tomatoes mentioning the movies, “Wonderful storytelling and the pacing was all right. This continues the amazing Shrek quality of humor and weaving of childhood tales’ ideas. It’s a must see for anyone who’s ever enjoyed any Shrek movies. I look forward to more!”  People who adored the Puss in Boots franchise get a new movie with new characters and gives viewers a new perspective on old characters. The movie does a good job at introducing us to the villains, their motives and their background. All characters appear wonderfully animated and the story undergoes heart filling and humorous events making the movie irresistible. Some critic reviews say the movie is emotional and one of DreamWorks’ best works yet and mentions Puss grew up alongside his audience. Overall, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a charming and entertaining movie that is sure to please fans of all ages. Highly recommended!
