Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles
February 15, 2023
Super Bowl LVII, the latest annual championship in the National Football League aired on February 12th, 2023 and was about as close as football games get. The Kansas City Chiefs matched up against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl for the first time in NFL history, but that was not the only achievement connected to game 57. Super Bowl 56 makes the first time in NFL history two African American quarterbacks started the game, as well as the first time that two brothers, Jason and Travis Kelce, faced one another in the same Super Bowl.
The game came down to the last minute tied 35-35 until the Chiefs managed to kick a last-second field goal winning the game and the championship. This makes Kansas City’s third Super Bowl win and second with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who exceeded the league’s standards winning both this year’s league MVP and Super Bowl MVP. The game ended in a close 38-35 battle that will go down in history as one of the closest Super Bowls.
Fans of both teams hope to see a rematch between the two when Super Bowl LVIII takes place on Sunday, February 11 2024 at our very own Allegiant Stadium.
