After the devastating and untimely death of Chadwick Boseman in August of 2020 fans all  around the world mourned the star and ultimately wondered what was going to happen to the second  installment of the legacy of Chadwick, the Black Panther franchise. The second film was already in  development at the time of his passing, so many fans assumed it would simply be canceled now that the  film was without its lead. Much debate fueled online whether or not it was the right thing to continue the  series after his passing or if they should perhaps recast the character of T’challa. When asked, President of  Marvel Kevin Feige and director Ryan Coogler felt recasting the role of T’Challa right now would be “too  soon” and that the film needs to ¨ honor the death of Boseman¨. Fast forward to 2022 and Black Panther:  Wakanda Forever the second installment of Black Panther released in November of last year. It opened  with some mixed reviews but overwhelming support and love for Chadwick Boseman, his family, and all  that he left behind for the world. The second film begins with the death of T’challa who passed away from  an unspecified illness. The film opens to a beautifully made tribute and funeral scene for Chadwick at the  start, that lingers till the end where it is revealed that Tchallas wife was pregnant before he passed,  meaning the continuation of Black Panther and Chadwick Boseman’s legacy. According to the Director,  the original script for the film- ¨was a father-son story from the perspective of a father because the first  movie had been a father-son story from the perspective of the sons.¨ While that version will never be  seen, it lives with Chadwick Boseman and his legacy that will forever ensue.
