As the final days of high school begin to fade, seniors gathered one last time to watch the sunset on Vista’s very own football field at 7pm till 9pm, hosted by student council. Senior sunset is essentially a time where seniors grab their friends and blankets and head to the football field for fun games, music, food, and even a movie of the graduating class’s choice.

The senior class decided on Ratatouille for the movie, however, due to high winds, the movie was canceled.

Graduating senior of Sierra Vista High School, Andric Salvador says he was mostly looking forward to seeing all of his friends in one setting since most of his friends have different classes than he does.

“I was very excited to see all of my friends somewhere together and spend time with them, instead of passing each other in the hallways due to us having different classes from one another.” said Salvador.

Salvador values the importance of this event while also acknowledging the end of his high school years for the better.

“I think senior sunset was important because it is the one night where you can gather with all the people you have known since freshman year and reflect on the fact that our journey is ending together.” finished Salvador.

“Although I was really looking forward to watching a movie, I do not regret going and getting to spend time outside of the classrooms.” explained senior, Anthony Krozel who adds that he will cherish this moment for as long as he can.

“I enjoyed taking pictures with everyone to capture memories. I am glad I got to cherish this moment because senior year is not something we can relive.” finished Krozel.
